Clyde Fenton , O.D.

Dr. Clyde M. Fenton was born August 1, 1947 in Portsmouth, Ohio and has been
a life long resident. Dr. Fenton attended Ohio University from 1965 - 68. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1972 from the Ohio State University College of Optometry. Upon graduation, Dr. Fenton was associated
with Dr. Raymond Carson. Dr. Fenton started his solo practice July 1, 1985 at his present address, 2002 Robinson Avenue. Dr. Fenton received his Diagnostic Pharmaceutical license in 1985. He received his Therapeutic
Pharmaceutical license in 1992.

He is a member of the American Optometric Association and was twice zone governor of the Southern Ohio Optometric Association. He is a member of Epsilon Psi Epsilon, the national optometric fraternity, The National Eye
Research Foundation, the Portsmouth Elks Lodge, Lions Club, and twice served as president of the Portsmouth Lions Club.

Dr. Fenton earned his certification in contact lens practice from the National Eye Research Foundation in 1986, conducted under the authority of the Certification AUthority Committee, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Fenton
also earned the American Optometric Association's Optometric Recognition
award in 1987, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995. This award is presented to Optometrists who have completed 150 credit hours of continuing education in a three year period and 50 hours of continuing education per year thereafter.

Dr. Fenton completed a 30-hour mini-residency in clinical updates given by the Ohio State College of Optometry in August 1991.
