Benjamin
Wu, M.D
Dr. Wu earned his Medical degree in 1983 from Hubei Institute for
Nationalities and later a
Master¹s degree in Ophthalmology from Tongji Medical University in
1989. He served an
internship and held the position of Chief Resident at the Department of
Ophthalmology
at The Fifth Hospital and Union Hospital of Wuhan in China. He came to
the United States
in 1992, where his education continued as a Post-Doctoral research Fellow
at the Department of Ophthalmology of Columbia University in New York.
He served a surgical residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New
York City and an internal medicine residency at Helene Fuld Medical Center
in New Jersey. Dr. Wu again held the position of Chief Resident while
serving an Ophthalmology Residency at the Interfaith Medical Center in
New York. He then furthered his training to become a Glaucoma and Cataract
Specialist by serving a Fellowship at Indiana University in Indianapolis.
Dr. Wu has done extensive research in the field of Ophthalmology, and
has presented information for several professional medical meetings. In
addition, he has authored many articles that were published in well-known
ophthalmic journals. Dr. Wu is a member of the Association for Research
in Vision and ophthalmology, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and
the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Wu
